Floculation is a basic step in urban or industrial sludge treatment. This separation of liquid and solid elements is mainly achieved through the use of organic polymers.
EMO has developed a complete range of manual and automatic polymer preparation units.

Centrale polymère manuelle
Composition of a manual polymer unit :
The manual polymer unit is composed of the following elements :
- an open tank in HDPE with suction and evacuation systems,
- an agitator mounted on a strengthened beam,
- a low level sensor connected to a junction box,
- a dispersing and wetting device with funnel,
- a UPVC potable water feedline - for preparation.
- Various options are available.

Centrale polymère automatique
Composition of an automatic polymer preparation unit (for powder polymer dosing) :
The automatic polymer unit is composed of the following elements :
- a stainless steel frame / tank,
- a powder dosing device,
- two mixers,
- a potable water regulated feedline (primary dilution),
- a primary dilution panel (option for in-line secondary dilution),
- a control panel (optional),
- a dosing pump.

Centrale polymère automatique_type polyblend
Operation of an automatic polymer unit (for liquid polymer dosing) :
The automatic polymer unit is composed of the following elements :
- The liquid polymer is drawn into the storage tank by the dosing pump.
- Polymer and water are injected separately into the bottom of the activation and mixing chamber.
- The agitator mixes the water and the polymer.
- The mixed and activated polymer solution flows from the activation chamber through a hole in the upper section.
- The solution then flows to the injection point by the pressure from the dilution water feed.
