Why use the Gravity Belt Thickener
?
To increase the dry solids sludge concentration from 1% to
8% - with the option of achieving 10% to 15%, by the addition
of 1, 2 or 3 pressing rollers at the end of the thickening
area
To pre-thicken before dewatering :
- with a Belt Filter Press,
- with a Plate Filter Press,
- with a Centrifuge :
The use of the Gravity Belt Thickener " in combination
" will increase the sludge dewatering capacity:
The higher the inlet concentration of the pre thickened sludge
- the greater the dry solids loading - whilst the outlet concentration
is also increased.
The Gravity Belt Thickener when combined with the Belt Filter
Press will:
Give an increased loading rate of around 30%.
Will prevent the re-release of phosphates in the filtrate
water.
Will regulate sludge inlet concentration - (whereas a conventional
thickener will not).
